Rides that will resume in the Spring:

Monday Ride at Mueller Park

DIRECTIONS: Take 270 North to 370 West across the Missouri River to the Elm street exit. Go right on Elm to Mueller Road, and take a right. You will see the soccer park on your right across from the Coca Cola Distributing Plant.

TIME: The Momentum Cycles crew rolls out promptly at 6pm and they wait for no one. This is the fast group and while you might  not hang with them the whole time, it can be a nice ride to start with them as they warm up. Their ride typically doesn’t kick in until you cross over some RR tracks.

DESCRIPTION: This ride is sponsored by Momentum Cycles; therefore, regular Team Revolution representatives will not be present. However, we feel this is a good route for beginners, intermediate, and advanced riders. It is flat and easy to navigate, with varying wind conditions. But if you want to ride with the fast group, bring your legs! They’ll buzz around the 27 mile loop in just about an hour. We recommend bringing the map and a friend or two the first time out, but it’s a good spin without the same start-and-stopping you’d get on the more urban Team Rev routes.

Tuesday Night Worlds/ Practice Races (Start TBD)

MAP/DIRECTIONS:The park loop is closed to traffic, head into the park via Loughborough and Leona streets.

TIME: Races start rolling at 6pm and go until dark.

DESCRIPTION: It’s a fun time spectating and hanging with racers as they sweat the the practice crits. Races start at 6pm with the “A” race (1/2/masters), followed by the “B” race (around 6:45p). In May, the “C” race is added for beginners and juniors.

Wednesday Night Webster Groves Flagship Ride (Start TBD)

DIRECTIONS: Start at Lockwood and Allen (West side of Straub’s grocery store)

TIME: Rolls out sharply at 6pm.

DESCRIPTION: This is the Team Revolution intermediate level NO-DROP ride. The group typically breaks into two different paced groups. The front group averages between 15-17 mph while the 2nd group averages between 13-15 mph. Both groups ride 21-25 miles (depending on the amount of daylight and  group preference), and the route offers some moderate hills and wide roads.

Thursday Jefferson Barracks Park Ride (Start TBD)

DIRECTIONS: Jefferson Barracks park. Bathroom parking lot area on the Northern side of the park (closest to Broadway).

TIME: Roll out at 6pm. If you get there late, you can wait for the group to come around again and jump in!

DESCRIPTION: This is the Team Revolution beginner – intermediate ride. This park is a great area to learn pack riding and improve hill approaches. It’s a rolling, scenic park loop that has some rollers that will improve your fitness without the strain of feeling like you “have to keep up with the pack”. A safe learning environment, as well as a place to work on interval training.

Saturday Rides

DIRECTIONS: Forest Park Visitors Center (Visitor Center – by Tennis Courts)

TIME/DATES: Be ready to roll out at 9am. The Saturday rides are scheduled for: May 7th, 21st; June 11th, 18th; July 9th, 16th; August 13th, 27th.  Please watch the forum for cancellations due to weather.  Cancellations should be posted on the forum by 6:30a.m. the morning of the scheduled ride.

DESCRIPTION: There are TWO OPTIONS – an BEGINNER (13 miles) ride and an INTERMEDIATE (32 miles)ride both starting from the same location and same time.  Both rides will leave at the same time and will return at about the same time.  We are planning to have lunch at the visitor center afterwards so bring some spare $ and your cycling questions and stories.  There visitor center has excellent restroom facilities. The plan is to go to lunch after the ride.

The beginner ride is focused on having fun while you are learning and riding your bike. It is a no pressure, easy pace, “no-drop” ride where no one is left behind. The intermediate is a “no-drop” ride as well but the expectation is you can ride it a good pace.

The Intermediate ride will be the same route each time we ride – so you can measure your progress during the season. This route is built more for the intermediate rider and is 32 miles with a few good hills. We will have one quick stop at JB Park. There will be a sweep for each date so no one will get dropped but ask that you can do this loop at a moderate pace (approx 14-15 mph average).
