New Year’s Revolution
Today is the first day back to work for most of us. Given that I, too, am at work I’ll have to keep this first entry relatively short. And, since few people actually know we’ve started this blog, I can expect that few will be disappointed by my rare brevity.
In tandem with launching our new site, I’m also happy to announce our new (or is it renewed?) commitment to bringing you a few minutes of distraction nearly every day of the week, via our new blog. We’ve proudly, albeit a bit cliched, entitled it VELODRAMA. As an organization filled with women, we’re rarely short on drama of some sort; we can make a miniseries out of spilled milk–we might not cry over it, but it doesn’t mean we won’t go on at length about how it has affected our mental state, ability to absorb enough calcium and our newly mopped flooring!
Team Revolution is lucky to be populated by a collection of interesting, candid and often out-spoken women. This section will represent a handful of club members that have elected to write about their lives, cycling and the occasional incident of spilled milk. We’ll keep their identities somewhat anonymous–not for protection, but because we suspect they represent the collective that is us, Team Revolution, and individual names are somewhat irrelevant. We aren’t trying to be kitchy or hokey or secret. Those of you who constantly ride with us will likely easily see through the thinly veiled pen names, and that’s OK.
It’s our hope that this section can live up to it’s name–er, well, in the best, most entertaining sense of the pun, at least. Stay tuned and subscribe to our RSS–or just plain come back and check!
Rev on.
